Exterior and Interior Evaluation

Inspections are conducted impartially and start outside to observe the overall condition of the grounds and structure including the roof. Moving inside, the industry’s standard inspection is exceeded by using state of the art tools to perform an in-depth inspection and identify problems that affect the structure’s integrity and occupant’s safety. Handy Vet Inspections uses the following equipment:

Mold Spore Air Quality Test Kit

Utilizing a calibrated Zenon air pump and Air-O-Cell Sampling Cassettes, air is drawn through the cassette capturing airborne mold spores emanating from unseen mold sources if present. Additionally, any visible mold is sampled using a combination of swabs or collection tapes. All samples are tested locally and reports are delivered by email within 24hrs.

Forward Looking Infra-Red Camera (FLIR)

Forward Looking Infrared Camera- utilizes thermal imaging to detect temperature differences on surfaces of walls and critical components increasing detection of air and water leaks, overloaded electrical breakers or appliances, and many more. Borescope Camera

Allows a view into walls, cavities, and appliances, when accessible, via a tiny wand camera to identify issues with wiring, structure, HVAC, mold, etc. This picture is during an inspection inside a sealed cabinet with an inaccessible, small kitchen water heater.

A comprehensive home inspection is an overall, non-invasive analysis of the condition of a home at the time of the inspection. The primary goal of a home inspector is to protect the buyer’s interests, to identify and report on major deficiencies, and unsafe or expensive problems that exist in the home.
